Chicken Packets

These are so easy to make and delicious either hot or cold.  Perfect for a summer dinner.  I like to make them when I take dinner to a new mommy as an alternative to all of the pastas and casseroles people usually bring!

Chicken Packets

2 cups cooked, chopped chicken
3 oz. cream cheese
1 tbsp. chives
2 tbsp. milk
1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional)
2 packages of crescent rolls
1/4 cup melted margarine
salt and pepper to taste

Mix chicken, cream cheese, chives, and milk in a bowl to make filling.  Unroll crescent rolls.  Press dough along perforation so rectangle halves will not separate.  Place about 1/4 cup of chicken mixture into the center of each rectangle.  Fold dough over filling.  Brush with melted margarine.  Place on baking sheet.  Bake in 350 degree oven for 20 minutes or until brown.  Makes 8 packets.
